Well my mom called, but my step dad still needs to do the oil change and rotate the tires. Sometime this weekend. I am soooo happy, I love my mom's truck, but I am very sick of shifting since its a 5 speed.

I am not as religious with oil changes as I should be, but if I am going to get this car to last a few more years, I really need to be.

Yep, I've heard that one before myself!!..I got in the habit of every 3,000 miles no matter what. When I just got this new truck, the sales man goes, you know how often to change the oil?..I said yes, every 3,000 miles. He said no, wait till it tells you too. It tells you when to do it. Between 5 and 8,000 depending how much you drive. I couldn't believe it.

The only way I know that its okay to go a little longer is with synthetic oil. But now my step dad will do it for me, take it up and we wait for him to change it. He is super fast and super particular about vehicles.

I always have been too that is why I was so shocked about this new truck. I always take my vehicles to the chevy house cause I don't have anyone to do the maintenence work on them for me.

They are a bit more expensive but at least they do have the records in the computer on it this way.
