The Zion Covenant. series of six books
its about a Jewish family in Berlin from 1933 to 1942. The family flees Germany to Vienna. about a year before the German invasion. then they flee to Prague (about a year before the German invasion). all the while working secretly to smuggle thousands of Jewsih children out of Germany I dig historical fiction cause it places actual people in the events and you get a feel for how the history actually affected peoples lives |

I got em as a discard from the library. they were gonna throw em away and had em in the discard box the hero of the story is Elisa Lindhein (Linder to the Germans), she is third chair in the Vienna Symphony. Her best friend is a jewish cello player with visas to leave Austria to Palestine so a lot of the story is also involved in Jerusalem and the conflict between the Arabs/British/Jews. all the characters they interact with are historical I was pretty impressed with it to tell the truth |

The last book I read was Turning Angel, by Greg Iles. I'm about to start Dan Brown's new book, The Lost Symbol. I think after that, I will probably read Domain, by Steve Alten. |

right now i'm reading Lancaster Inc. by Andrea Zug. she's a local writer, so i thought i would buy a copy of one of her novels, so far it's not too bad

I just finished "....Then Why Do I Have Toenails?" by Thom Phelps and "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris.
Currently re-reading Douglas Adams' "The Salmon of Doubt." After that, I'll probably finish writing my own next book....! |

According to the people of my creative writing class, I only read trashy bestsellers. So...right now I'm reading Lisa Jackson's "Chosen to Die." It's wickedly decadent.

I'm reading "The Fall of the Knights Templar" by Robyn Young. The last in a trilogy. Fascinating and pretty bloody.

I just started "The Day Christ Died" by Jim Bishop. It is really interesting and is written in the format of a news report as we would have in the present day.
I am also reading The "Diary of Saint Maria Faustina" this book will blow you away, about 3/4 finished. |

Just finished Sherrilyn Kenyons Born of Night, Mercedes Lackey's Foundation, and started Common Sense, Rights of Man and other Essential Stories by Thomas Paine. I liked his Age of Reason book.
Robert Jordan's next book The Gathering Storm comes out 10/27/09, so I may pull the whole series and re-read that for the heck of it. |
