5 large sweet potato
12 carrots 3/4 cup orange juice 2 tbsp liquid honey 2 tbsp butter 2 tsp cinnamon 2 cloves garlic,minced 1 tsp salt toppin' 1 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1/2 cup pecans 1/3 cup melted butter 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley peel and cut sweet potato and carrot into large chunks..cook til very tender,drain.Mash fine or puree in blender. Add orange juice,honey,butter,cinnamon,garlic and salt,blend well.Spoon into a greased 13x9 baking dish. toppin...combine bread crumbs,pecans,butter and parsely.Sprinkle over the mixture.cover with foil and bake in 350 oven for 20 mintues,uncover and bake for another 30 or til baked thru. with thanksgiving this weekend.... what dishes do you make.... teasingbrunette |

I have had this dish many ways as it is a classic in Texas, but I don't think it ever had carrots. Sounds good.

I dont know about the parsley in there.
And I wouldnt do the cloves.. too strong. But the rest sounds good. |
