unfortunately the country is as divided as in these threads and it's sad and almost scary. It's been said before but is worth repeating... this is not a Dem's against the GOP anymore and we all need to stop the division.
Obama is different, his ideas, a bit out there for most conservatives...and change is needed, and change is frightening for some. I think we can all agree that now is the time to stop the hatred and constant criticism..it is accomplishing nothing, changing nothing.
The bottom line is that whatever ends up happening WE are still all in it together and we must not get so caught up in the disagreements and forget that. Where's the love...

Sadly, B.O. and his ideas are not different. They are a retread of the various brands of Statism that have been tried and failed in Europe for some 300 years or so.

I would argue that the criticism is doing something-waking up the "moderates" to what's going on. With any luck, the coming revolution will be non-violent and end the government for good. :)

I didn't miss the point, I used what was already there and added to it (for no charge, either! :) ).

Historically, at some point, when the productive class is progressively squeezed economically, there comes a point where they will no longer accept it. At this point, a revolution occurs-sometimes violent, sometimes non-violent.

The conflicting interests in this country between the political class and the productive class, in my opinion, has been escalating slowly over the last century or so. There will at some point be a time when "Atlas Shrugs", and a revolution is sparked.

It is my hope that this moment is non-violent, and spells an end of the State and a new beginning for individual freedom. :)
