I know that you will think this is a dumb question and it is simple to do but not for me. Here goes, I would like to know how to download music off of the commputer ,there are alots of old songs that I would like to have on a disc. I know how to put music on the computer from a c.d. then put it over to a blank disc[rip and burn].This I can do. Also I would like to be able to download pictures. Would you please explain it to me in simple words? I can see you shaking your head and saying what a dummy,you are right. My 9 yrs old granddaughter knows more than I do. Thanks for any help.

for alot of the websites that have music have virus
and i can prove that. my daughter gave me her computer before she moved out of the country
and i had a friend of mine clean it and save the pictures she wanted, my daughter had i dont know how many antivirus but i have no clu what happen to them. but my friend ended up puting a antivirus on there so he could fix it. she had over 7,000 virus and most of it was from music sites.. that would explain why her computer was having crap full of problems

If you want to download music...I suggest doing it the legal way...or uh...you could you know..."ARGH!" But then you risk getting caught by your ISP or getting tracked by the government.

If you want to download images to your computer, just right click on the image and click "save as"....voila!

Also do a google search for "free music" or "free mp3s" there are all kinds of sites you can download from. check here:

Like the others have said...your no dummy, just because you unsure of how to do something.

I have downloaded, and have a nice size collection of over 15,000 mp3 files. But in order to find and download most of what I have, is downloaded in an unconventional way.

Also, it just occurred to me, that(for the time being), it might be better for you(till you learn more)to have someone e-mail you the music you want. That would be the easiest way for you to get it to you/your computer.

This is my opinion, and this is in no way encouraging illegal copying/downloading copyrighted material/songs. I would never do that... Maybe this helped a little bit.

P.S. What are some of the songs that you would like to have? Who knows...Santa may be good to ya this year.

From what I understand of your post, you are wanting to "download" the music from your computer to a cd?

If that is the case, you need some sort of burning software to convert your music on your computer into a format your cd player can read. This can be in the form of an audio cd, or a mp3 cd if your player supports it.

I suggest Nero for a paid program http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html or ImgeBurn for a free program http://www.imgburn.com/

Or if it's that you don't know where to get music online, you could try iTunes or a similar site. There are many "free" ways of getting music online but this is not legal so I shouldn't post how to here.

You can go to limewire and download music there. I have used them for a long time now and never had a problem.

Limewire not a good suggestion. There are many viruses attached to their music files. If you're not aware of what your computer is all about, this suggestion is like me pushing you off the Empire State building, its up to you how you want to land ..feet first or head-on.

You should try blogspots, or specialized sites for mp3 downloading only. like iMeem.

I have been using Cabos by Limewire for a while with no problems.But you still have to download the songs with the largest file size,or sometimes it is only part of a song.

Limewire is weak. You may not have ever run into a problem, but an awful lot of files from that site wind up being corrupted, terrible quality, or have virus embedded into them. I NEVER use Limewire.

A torrent program, such as uTorrent, and a couple of sites like Pirate Bay or isoHunt, an IP hiding program like Peer Guardian 2 and you will be downloading like a champ.

Utorrent is , use it all the time.

After 30+ years on the Net, and downloading files...that is my choice!
