Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.
This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton Please send it to everybody you know who has Access to the Internet.. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report' If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful...' Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your Name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOLhas already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'. PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY! THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY SNOPES. |

And did any one check with Snopes this morning?????????
I did, and it is a hoax. If someone says it is confirmed by Snopes, and they don't send the link to Snopes, go find out for yourself. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/lifeisbeautiful.asp |

And did any one check with Snopes this morning????????? I did, and it is a hoax. If someone says it is confirmed by Snopes, and they don't send the link to Snopes, go find out for yourself. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/lifeisbeautiful.asp Origins This warning about email messages with an attached Microsoft Powerpoint file named 'Life is Beautiful' which carries a computer destroying virus is a hoax, One that has been with us since at least January 2002. It originally circulated in Portugese, but was later translated into english and a host of other languages. Although this particular example is a hoax, Powerpoint presentations CAN contain viruses, so prudent users SHOULD check downloaded or emailed Powerpoint presentations (and all other non-text attachments) before opening them. In September 2002 this hoax was circulated anew as "Everything is Beautiful" and it popped up again in 2003 retitled as 'Life is Beautiful' http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/lifeisbeautiful.asp I apologise if I have misled anyone. This was not intentional. |

mine says free update to norton...can I open it? Do you have Norton Anti-Virus? Have you ever received an unsolicited update this way before? Can you tell if it's from Norton? If no......... then don't open it. |

mine says free update to norton...can I open it? If you already have an anti virus installed, then you shouldn't need to upgrade. I found that Norton wasn't all that good anyway, so I got Kaspersky instead. It's one of the best Anti Virus software intallations around these days |

I found that Norton wasn't all that good anyway, so I got Kaspersky instead. It's one of the best Anti Virus software intallations around these days The only people smart enough to figure out how to create a virus are the employees of the anti-virus software companies. Some executive was informed of this and he created the executive decision to do nothing about it. "Create a hole and fill it," was the slogan generated from it by the executive. "Marketing is too important to be left for the marketing dept.," was another slogan. "Say yes" was the third slogan, and "just say no" was the fourth. |
