kanye is just yet another media hoax, he never actually 'became' famous. It was more like everyone woke up one morning and the news said he was. Does anyone remember when mr.west wasnt super famous but you had heard of him? Media hype, controversy and advertizing creates an overnight 'star' that may not be worth a damn. Kanye West is a fictional character, like most ppl on tv including our president.

Because of my position here, i rarely will comment on issues of this nature. But in this case i will. In my watching the video, that was the most rude and underhanded thing, anyone could have done. The man is obviously, oblivious to social etiquette, and i honestly can't understand anyone, making such a spectacle of themselves. Truly, an embarrassment to himself, and a shocking experience for the young lady...totally absurd! |

What I don't understand is how beyonce, being a female, can win the best video of the year category, and lose the best video by a female artist category...

Kanye acted like a fool. Elementary school children are talking about. When my child came home from school today, my child talked about how everybody at school was talking about him being drunk and how stupid Kanye had acted.

When 'Through The Wire' came out, he was already super famous, signed and the market was saturated with his name, face, lame album (with three good songs on it) and the harrowing tale of his 'plight'. Jayz/media companies created his fame from scratch over the course of about a week. One hit wonder+loads of money= cultural icon... and the public ate it up. That sob story bout his fcukin jaw was just the gimic he rode in on and not a good one either. |

This is twice he has pulled one of these "diva" stunts. Personally I don't like the guy or his "music". He's mad because she has more talent than he does. She can actually sing, play an instrument and write songs. (PS - For the record I am no huge fan of hers either. I am roughly 20 yrs older than her target audience but I respect her talent)
