vultures tearing at my skin
as i swing from the gallows tree,
the rope around my neck wears thin
it breaks and i drop free.
my skin is left in tatters
and i violently gasp for air,
my next breath is all that matters
as i'm laying there.
slowly i start to breath again
another minute and i'd be dead,
i heard a voice whisper then
as the blood rushed to my head.
"hello i'm fate i cut you loose
so please don't let me down,
i granted you the chance to choose
and keep your feet on the ground.
so pick the path you want to walk
and live your life with care,
or next time there will be no talk...
i'll leave you hanging there"
