People like to make up nonsensical "rules" based on all kinds of stuff and then claim it's "true."

The fact is, people are different (despite all attempts by government, media, and big business to dictate otherwise) and will handle different situations according to very different interpretations and belief systems.

To say "Relationships before age ____ do not work" is like saying "Relationships involving people with shoe size ____ do not work." Yes, sometimes that will hold true. Sometimes it will not.

Just like with any other shortcut, blanket overgeneralization.

I KNOW age 25 has nothing to do with anything -- for me, anyway. My relationships, before 25, after 25, during 25, have ALL been horrendous nightmares. Other than the sheer weight of sequential accumulation, age never had anything to do with it.
