I was exchanging emails with a decent sounding guy and on the 7th email he casually mentions his ex. Does anyone see that as a red flag? Well either He is being honest and sharing a little too much too early or he's not an expert at dating. If either of those things sound bad, there is definitely a red flag malfunction going on. |

In what context did he mention her? I don't think if he says he "hates" her, it means he's not over her. Doesn't mean he's bitter either maybe just mad as hell.
I agree with Jess. We can't pretend we don't have a past. Hopefully once he says all he wants to say about her he will stop speaking about her. |

Would depend how he's talkin bout her for me. If a guy is constantly bitchin bout the ex then I gotta say

Depends on what he said about her. If he's still in love with her, yeah it's a red flag. If he hates her, he's a keeper.
But if he hates her doesn't that mean he's really still not over her? My thoughts and experience as well!!! |
