I am seeing some one about 2.5-3 hrs away. It's working so far.
One of my co-workers does a lot if internet dating. She says the 'distance' adds to the excitement of it. She doesn't date local guys. |

I'm not saying all men around here are ugly. I just haven't met anyone in my area in a while that I'd want to date. I have met one local..he wasn't ugly and were friends...no chemistry ya know. There really are very few in my area..I live in a weird place |

The first thing I do when I wake up is tell her good morning and the last thing I do before bed is tell her goodnight and we are always planning for our next meeting |

I'm not sure how distance adds excitement.. Well its not like meeting someone local where you can interact with them a bit first, gauge and size things up. When its e-mail and ph calls, it builds anticipation,(also expectations)for that first meeting. It builds anxiety is some folks, some of which find that 'exciting'. |

why this happens. I meet people not close by (yes, I mean actually meet in person) that I'd date. But, I haven't met anyone close by that I'd want to date... in quite a while. It gets frustrating! Does this happen to anyone else? I used to think the same, but I've come up with a name for this situation. I call it "internet myopia." |

I did meet someone who was far away and I was nervous and excited about it. |

All the guys where I live are ugly. Well, except for that one guy who was beautiful but a total douchebag. I've noticed the ones in Illinois and Ohio are hot, though... Ohio guys maybe hot, but Ohio is the fastest growning state for a site that only promotes married folks seeking other married folks seeking to hook up only. So to find a honerable, honest single guy in Ohio you better look for him at his wife's funeral. JUST KIDDING ABOUT THAT LAST PART. Then again maybe not. |

I met a single guy in Ohio!!! I was thinking that the only single guys in Ohio were total losers.... for years I thought this. Now I think I might've found one who is straight, single, and relatively normal.

Ohio has a dearth of normal men. Robin, don't you read about my horrid dates?? The married guy who thought living apart from his wife for three years meant he was divorced? The guy who trashed his exes then called me stupid as he disagreed with my opinion in the first 43 minutes of the date? The guy who asked me to show him my breasts when I told him I didn't want to see him again? The guy who answered the door naked? The psychology professor who studied depression and was depressed himself but liked drinking daily, smoking thc, and crying himself to sleep. Oh and sleeping with students...
Those are Ohio men. |

Oh I remember, as you remember the ones I endured, like the one that asked if he could crawl under the table at a nice family resturant to lick my cl1t. |

I think opposites attract - being from two different locations makes things interesting. Around my neck of the woods - we all went to school together or grew up together. Most of the military men are married...so, the dating pool is a little low on water around here.
