I'm new to this site. I've read a few comments and most of them positive, hoping just maybe to have a little more luck getting women to at least respond. It'd be nice to find some who are at least courteous enough to acknowledge that you tried to contact them. One thing I've seen that's the same though: the majority of women in Oregon and No. Calif. don't post photos, what is it ladies?

i used to live there when i was little and i still have some family down in that area
my mom and her syblings went to school there

alot of the times people make these profiles out of impulsiveness and never check them ever again. but even in the active profiles, when they don't have photos it could mean A; they don't care. B: they are insecure about the way they look C: they don't want people hitting on them just because they are good looking in their photo rather they would like people to engage them based on what they wrote on the profile it self.
so don't worry about it if they respond, if they seem like a really nice person they probably are consider that by more than 1 person thus they have lots of mail to reply and might not get to all of them in a timely fashion.
good luck with the search my good sir, i see that passion doesn't fade with time. ( ps some people are just shallow and won't respond they don't like the way some one looks. but that is the world we live in lol)

Thanks for noticing. K-Falls has been home for a long time except for the years I was "under contract" to the Navy; but just couldn't see living anywhere else. Sorry didn't respond sooner, still getting used to this site and this forum area is still a bit confusing.

I comprehend and understand all of your reasons. But when you've sent out 20+ email and after more than a month some haven't been opened and read? Then There are those that were opened within days and they didn't even have the courtesy to say "no thanks". After sending somewhere between 50 and 75 emails without even ONE response it's more than a little frustrating.
