Ok if in your culture it means something entirely different why not educate us instead of insulting people. I am a bit confused on this one.
Since when I read the title I had a smart alec answer all ready.. About oil workers.. About them being to far away and slick etc....

If they are in your culture as the urban dictionary states then hell no I don't attract them to my knowledge.

TO fearandloathing: it's about why i seem to keep attracting the low buget men and women in this site. damn serious generation/cultural gap.

If you think you are attracting 'low budget men' on this site, maybe you should look at your writing skills and how you represent yourself?

That could do it too...not my fault I don't like hip hop, it all really sucks anyway. Miss the 90's rap, Shakur, Biggy, even Puffy was good back then. Now it is all junk, no musical direction, rapping about money and bling. Old school good music is stuff like Run DMC, there is nothing like that anymore...but go ahead, keep assuming. Don't let me stop you.

mc lyte and her song i need a rough neck is old school rap.

Sorry, but no. Beastie Boys, Grand Master Flash, Run DMC, and Afrika Bambaataa are old school rap. What you are comparing is the likes of Salt-N-Pepa to the likes of Run DMC which is a flawed comparison at best.

Sounds like people are kind of touchy tonight.

Being called a Roughneck (rather than some other polite euphsisms) has not always been a flattering term for several generations. Even among peers. A rough dirty job often held by migrant teams who worked extreamly long hours, bathed rarely, known for drinking, swearing, fighting, tearing up rentals, patronizeing prostitues, killing lifestock, and yes having been in jail and or prison they were no more welcome in "town" than cowboys, GI's, Harvestors, or railroad workers.

If mother's called their children roughnecks it was not a compliment. If women dated roughnecks it was a good way to get a bad reputation fast. Did that keep them from having a degree of seductiveness to both men and women you bet. Were all of them deserve the stereotype? No Way. But don't kid yourself many have cultivated the reputation on screen and off.

To the OP's question...do people seem to attract that type of guy Sure a roughneck is like any other man but many of them do chase women who will flirt with a bad boy and give them a chance. Not like they have a regular 9 to 5 job.
