Can someone explain why I am apparently invisible to the system? I check my account from time to time, and Mingle2 says that NO ONE has ever viewed my profile.

Really? No women has ever used this website to search for men in the Boston area for the past few months? Not one?

I'm not complaining about the number of women who have e-mailed me after viewing my profile (they'll like me, or not like me. That's ok either way.) Rather, I'm concerned that my profile is somehow set up as invisible to to the system, as no woman has apparently even seen my profile.

Do I have some setting messed up? Any advice?

I only look at people I've seen posting. I've not seen you posting. So I haven't looked.

This is your first forum post! How is anyone even supposed to know you're here, or that you HAVE a profile??

I have found that the way to be noticed here is to post in the forums. Otherwise the only people who will even know you're here are a.) someone who is specifically looking for you, or b.) someone who has you turn up in a search. Lots of people turn up in searches and those people aren't necessarily going to read every profile that shows up.

I'm going to move this thread into the "Rate My Profile" forum -- that may get you some attention. But seriously, you might want to think about participating in the forums!

Try stalking some people or be an obnixious azzole like me. I get lots of looks.

Also helps if you pay people to look at you. I have about three people on payroll around here.

Or post a good picture with an interestingly-worded profile. That's more of a last-ditch effort, though, I admit.

I can understand to use the stealth mode when someone might be interested in someone already and don't want to give false ideas to others by looking at other profiles, but I don't understand why to use stealth mode when someone is actively looking and want to be noticed.


That's like trying to buy a car, by staring at a newspaper ad on the kitchen table and never calling or emailing the one who made the ad and later complaining that they couldn't buy the car and it was sold to someone who made a phone call.

Hmm, this is different from another that I was using recently. On that dating website, my profile received plenty of hits (so did everyone's) from the the use of the search feature alone. That number of hits even translated into letters, dates, etc.

I guess the way that people use this website is different. More forum driven. That's cool.
