Thank someone that is serving or has served in our ALL VOLUNTEER Armed
Forces as I do every Memorial Day and Veterans Day and make sure someone
places a flag on my father's grave (he served in the Navy during Korea).

And my son and I will put together a box of goodies to send to someone
serving overseas. This time around it is my co-worker's son in Iraq.

Something to think about, Memorial Day was originally established to
memorialized the fallen of the Civil War. It was not even observed here
in the South until recently. The Southerners did not want to observe a
war memorializing the War of Northern Aggression.
