Well Aaron just headed off to school. Got the house to myself now.
It's strange how different it feels immediately. Aaron used to be gone for days at a time with his friends but that wasn't any big deal. Now knowing he's gone gone it's a completely different thing.

Kinda bittersweet ya know?

I cried for 2 days when both my girls left. Unfortunately, they were only gone a week when Hurricane Katrina wiped out UNO.

No - I guess I should have been more clear. When Katie & Sony both went away to school - in New Orlean - I cried for days. They weren't gone long, becuase the Hurricane hit NOLA. My girls are Minnesotans. They were in Houston beofer Mayor Ray Nagen pulled his head out of his *** long enough to find out a hurricane was coming his way. He never did evacuate the city.

For now, I'm working (that's me at work, with the Chinook). I'm wearing glasses for 2 weeks, because I'm considering corrective eye surgery. (I don't think I could stand glasses for 400 days.)
I have a walking cast, to hopefully fix this sore foot. It's been hurting since March, but lately I've been whimpering like a puppy. It might be dtendonitis, or a small fracture. Bad timing on the thing; I have n opportunity to go skydiving tomorrow. and I have tickets to REO Speedwagon, .38 Special and Styx next week at the State Fair.

I have been wearing glasses since the sixth grade. Blind as a bat without em. Yes, the New Orleans deal was a major Fup. A friend of mine in the guard was ther in the aftermath. Bad business,he still has problems with it. Even worse than Iraq he said.
That sounds like a heck of a concert! Wish I could go!
