When you look at me
what do you see?
You see tatts, and scars,
you might think Joint, and bars.

You see big bad John
or Hillbilly Bob
You think I've got something going on,
or you see a big ol' slob.

You see a guy that drives a beater
you might think I pack a Heater
You may talk about me
behind my back
But you won't talk to me
with that same smack.

I'm a Big Guy,
yes, it's true
But if you don't hurt mine
I won't hurt you.

I spent 9 long years
serving with Honor
and another 9 years
Saying "Your Honor".

I've beat down guys
Yes, I'll admit it
They had it coming-
went over the limit
They hit women, and kids
That's right, yes they did.

They hit Cops
when I was one
In a jail, I had no gun
Use your fists, hit them harder
Take em down, Boys
We don't barter.

That's just a slice
of what I am
I still use Sir,
and say Yes, Ma'am

It throws people off
that don't know me
You're a good person?
Then just show me.

That's what they're thinkin
at the mall
Scared that I'll bounce them
off a wall

I wouldn't think of
causing any harm
Don't call the cops
I mean no alarm
to you or your sweetie
Just the opposite-
I'll help when your needy.

Please don't judge me
by what you see
Because in today's reality
I'm the guy
you'll want on your side
I've got rough skin,
and a real thick hide

I've stood up to bangers
and thugs of all sorts
Stone cold killers
written lots of reports

They didn't scare me
when it was 40 to one
Behind locked doors
nowhere could I run

I could have been killed
over 100 times
You'd have read it-
No, not the headlines
Buried on page 3
cuz I'm not pretty.

Where is this going ??
Just what is my point ??
