My madness

Black thoughts drifting round my life
Clawing at the hole I try to escape from

Life becomes so shabby
Living in the past regrets I have
I feel the darkness keeping me down
Not letting me thrive

I look at the brightness of a new day
And only see angels dancing around the fire
Clutching their burnt and hurting wings

The sun shines nothing but black
As I free fall to the ground
The ash of the human cry of grief
The howling of it all

The song of the unhappy goth
Sung inside my ear
I try to hold on to a slight bit of goodness
Finding it hard as my skin turns grey

I will try to find that bright light again within me
As long as Satan stays away
I will push the dark clouds to the side
To find the sun again
