Topic: Michael Vick signs 2yr deal with Eagles | |

Vick's a dirtbag and the NFL should be ashamed of itself for reinstating him. be seeing you I totally agree! |

The guy did something extremely heinous. That's a given.
But to say that he should not be allowed to pursue a living in his chosen profession is just absurd. Does no one realize that the very best way to bring continued attention to what he did is to LET HIM PLAY IF A TEAM WANTS TO SIGN HIM??? There will be protesters at EVERY GAME he plays in. That will bring continued attention to the problem. How much attention would the problem be getting if he was a plumber?? |

Could do that. I'm sure there are a few thousand PETA members who probably will do that. Will it make a dent in the NFL coffers?? Nope. Will it chase away advertisers?? Most likely not. I've bought my tix for two Lions games this season. I care about what Vick did, but I wouldn't have given the tix away if the Lions had chosen to sign him. He went to jail for what he did. He has to be ' aggressively proactive ' ( the Eagles owner's words ) as far as getting out in the community and speaking about why what he did was wrong. He's going to have to deal with the questions every single day. All is as it should be. |

Give Vick a break. What he did was wrong and against tha law but he paid his debt and is movong on and so should we. I hate it when I read a comment and it just seem like u ppl r only saying these things to make u popular on here. Like none of u have done something wrong. Just b fair thats all I ask and dont try to use him as a springboard to boost urself. Ofcouse he should stay away from DOGS 4 a while but all animals? thats not even realistic. Did he set up kitten fights 2? or maybe chickens? get real wit urself and just b fair. I knw sum1 who has posted has broke tha law and Im sure uve moved on. Let him. Only thing u should b worried about is him as a football player. He was average b4 he left and he maybe a smidge under that. 3 years and we will neva hear frm this guy again. Then u all can go back and talk about ur flawless worlds.

Ofcouse he should stay away from DOGS 4 a while but all animals? thats not even realistic. Did he set up kitten fights 2? or maybe chickens? Ya know....this brings up an interesting question. If Vick had set up a ****-Fighting ring, how many of you would have actually given a rat's rear end about it? I would be willing to bet that had it been fighting roosters...there would have been a couple of days worth of coverage...but then it would have faded away completely. Take a look at a couple of years ago when Pedro Martinez was seen on video at a **** ( Rooster ) Fight. He's from the Dominican...said " Hey...it's part of our culture..." and it just went away. Where were the screaming animal rights activists then?? |

It wont be tight end. Very good, the great Cornholio couldn't have said it any better. Somewhat less seriously, I'm a great hater of animal mistreaters, and I didn't watch Michael on TV. I hope he understands that animals--things like dogs and us--are something different than what he thought before. You can't tell what's in a person's heart--except with certain extreme examples like Mother Theresa and Charlie Manson. But, he did his time, he should be able to go back to work. I do think a cage fight with Mike Tyson before he got out would have been appropriate though, just so he could see it from the other side. Flat |

Georgia couple killed by dogs
A couple in northeastern Georgia apparently were attacked and killed by nearly a dozen dogs, authorities said today. Former college professor Lothar Karl Schweder, 77, and his wife, Sherry Schweder, 65, most likely died of injuries that occurred in a dog attack, according to Oglethorpe County Sheriff Mike Smith. The couple's mutilated bodies were found Saturday morning by five passers-by. Smith said they likely were killed by dogs because the scene was so grisly. http://www.examiner.com/x-15948-Homicide-Examiner~y2009m8d17-Georgia-couple-killed-by-dogs video report: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFcmdatvVUo&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fnews.google.com%2Fnews%3Fhl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial%26hs%3DHV%26resnum%3D0%26q%3Dgeorgia%2Bcouple%2Bkilled%2Bby%2Bdogs&feature=player_embedded so much for the dogs do not kill for no reason argument |

In that neighborhood all strays are shot without a second thought |

I can't wait to see the Eagles/Vikings game this year. Wonder who will get the most "boos" ?!

His personal life apparently has not interfered with his professional life for the NFL to reinstate him HOWEVER his short term punishment I do not think was sufficient to the crime he committed. The images of all the tortured dogs which were all Later Put down over 100 BTW are permanently in my mind and many other Americans that I am not sure how successful the remaining of his professional career will be.....I do believe he will be boo'd by fans NOT to mention all the smack he will hear on the field.
His Salary or portion there of should be forced to go to shelters and humane societies....the Eagles should put that in his contract. I wonder if they signed him for a fraction of the cost of what he would have been prior to his crimes? |

he was never all that good of a quarterback anyway
his career rating is only 75 and his highest season was only 78 for all the talk about his scrambling ability his average yards rushing over his career was 7 and 71 TDs to 51 interceptions isnt that great |
