Dusk is
Upon us now

Streetlights
All aglow

I sense an
Emptiness
On my street

No children
No mowers
No dogs

And I miss them.....

My neighbors
My happy street

Where we live
Where we play
Where we love

Where every Sunday
When the churchbells
Ring
We gather together
In praise

Where we rush to
One another
In our times
Of need

And as the sun goes down
In my little town
And everyone is
Tucked safely
Away

I miss
All my
Neighbors

All my friends

I will pray
For them
Before
Going
To
Bed
