You See
I walk a few paces behind her, Knowing who she is. Trying not to invade her space Her shadow of knowing true bliss. Watching her frame hold high, The hopes that carry her heart, Caged in a tangle of longing, Leaving her trail to the top. Bread crumbs we eagerly gather, A memory so as not to get lost, For we know in a heartbeat,so quickly, The way on the path might just stop. So I take in the light of her presence Making sure, just a portion to glean, For her treasures surrounding her beauty, Her family, more needful, esteem. You see, easily I walk far behind her. Though, knowing her pace, she would slow. I have the treasure most sought for, Her gift to love and to know. Raine Les 8/12/2009 |

Raine Les 8/12/2009 Sadie, I make it a point not to write out who I consider the "real" or BEST poets there are amongst us, but I will say unequivaquably (sic) You are and always have been one of the true poets on this site. We have We have a lot of people who toss out, "hey, look at me, I write fifty poems a day, so I MUST be a poet", and yet, they are so dreadfully lacking, You my gorgeous minded friend, will always be a true writer. |
