Topic: Which is TOO FAR- Kiss, hug or massage? | |

totally true, jayme.
i so agree!

I agree too. It depends upon the chemistry that is felt between the 2.
If the chemistry and the flow of things creates a total attraction....you can end up alot further than massage. A love at first site attraction can become sexual between 2 consentual adults. Been there ...done that. |

I think any sort of physical contact on the first date is too much, as
there is always the possibility that the "chemistry" you think you feel for the person may be gone by the second or third date and then you're left with the awkward memory of having gone too far too fast. |

SheNerd, I'm reflecting back over the years and I don't think I've had
that experience which you describe. On several occasions I just -knew-, somehow, that a particular woman was a perfect match for me. People use the phrase "love at first sight". And while it wasn't "love" (that takes time), it also was -not- lust nor infatuation. It was "knowing at first sight" that you are meant to be together. Over time, people grow, they change, they may end up having different sets of expectations from a relationship... but I can't think of a single instance when that 'recognition' was wrong. And so I have never regretted becoming affectionate or sexual with someone based on it. And there were several instances where that recognition lead to a very satisfying long term relationship. |

You know, scratch all that. You guys were talking about "dating", and I
was talking about those more random and spontaneous ways of meeting someone. On a date, people tend to put up a bit of a front, don't they? That would make it hard to know what your 'real' chemistry is... so everything I said above might not apply to normal dating circumstances. And I can see why it would be wise to be cautious, when the other person may be on their 'best first impression' way of being. |

I met someone recently (friend).... we sat out in an empty parking lot
and counted the planes that went by while we chatted.... on the tailgate of his truck... he was very polite and a gentelman.... he didnt try anything and I got a foot massage out of the deal |
And there they are!

Its like you're illustrating you post, with your pic. Which foot was

A massage is a rather intimate thing to happen for a first date, IMO. I
would think a massage would most likely lead to "other things." A hug or a kiss would be more appropriate, but if I didn't really like the guy "in that way" then I'd be reluctant to even give him a hug. Of course a handshake is rather "unemotional," too, so maybe a quick hug and a "Thanks for the nice time" would work. |
OK, I give. I wouldn't mind a foot massage on a first date or anytime.
:) |

I second SheNerd. There are deceiving guys that think they're "players"
They will make you so comfortable on the 1st date and fool you to make you think you have that "chemistry" lakeman. Good for you, but in the world today and I'm pretty sure in the past there was always that kind of person out there. Note: buttons, I think your screenname is cute :) |
The "love at firs sight" idea is funny to me because if you break up and
you thought it wasn't so meant to be..then obviously it wasn't haha. I'll tell all the guys "patient young grasshopper!" If you want me you're wait and chill... |

WELL BOREDCHICK, I HAVE HELD HANDS, HUGGED, AND KISSED ON THE FIRST DAT,
NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME, AND NOT ALL TO THE SAME PERSON, IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE ONE YOU ARE WITH. HOWEVER, MARRIAGE ON THE FIRST DATE??? NOPE, NO WAY, NO HOW HAVE NOT DONE THAT, DON'T SUGGEST THAT EITHER. NOW OF COURSE AT MY AGE, IT IS GETTING HARD TO DO THE FIRST THREE, ON ANY DATE..... |
tigerman that's funny :)
"HOWEVER, MARRIAGE ON THE FIRST DATE??? NOPE, NO WAY, NO HOW HAVE NOT DONE THAT, DON'T SUGGEST THAT EITHER." That would be crazy lol. Locked down on the first run! |
THIS IS TRUE, HOWEVER YOU ASKED THE QUESTION, NOT ME
