Not that I'm for anyone becoming a junkie...however, you do know that there are a muriad of communicable diseases that the cook could have even if he's not slamming dope. And what if they are from the cook and he's a diabetic?

And I'm not surprised that the police didn't do anything considering that there truthfully was no crime committed. While it is illegal for a licensed institution to dump medical waste, police would be hard pressed determining exactly who those needles belong to. Then there's the whole "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" to obtain a conviction. And proving that the needles were placed there with malicious intent.

Is it immoral? Sure. Irresponsible? Absolutely. Dangerous? Of course. And it should scare each and every one of us to some point. Maybe this is what it takes for parents to talk to their children about the danger of this world and quit sticking their heads in the sand.
