As night approaches now
The moons glistens
Shadows are found
everything is hidden

Twilight has come
and gone
Stars light up the sky some
as the day is well and done

Silence fills the air
everyone is asleep
The moons smiles and stares
the world dreams so deep

There is a fleeting breeze
across the meadow
even the raging ocean has it's peace
as the waves come and go

During the night
when everything is at rest
it is a wonderful sight
the stars shine with such a zest

Now as the night comes and goes
by and by
I never think of the shadows
when the day becomes night
