sleepytime!! thanks for the input guys Do you know that the forum rules actually say we are not supposed to tell people goodnight or Bye.. i read them earlier and that kind of shocked me.... Sorry, off topic, thats against the rules too, LOL |

only if he asks what's wrong, I would not just dump it on him. But I really don't let anything bother me.

Sorry, off topic, thats against the rules too, LOL Hummm maybe you should re-read those rules. The good-bye threads they are speaking of are those created to tell others they are in fact leaving the site. As far as good morning or good night those threads created go to well wishes. There is in fact nothing wrong with telling others good night or good morning ect within another thread. Just no I'm leaving the site type of threads. Ohh and as far as being off topic a few post is not a problem it is when you go in and High jack a thread for several pages and do not return to the subject. |

if its important and you think they would want to know than its important enough to share
|
|

but maybe you don't want it halved. maybe you want to take care of it yourself as a part of a character building exercise... Easy enough.. tell your partner... this is the issue... however... I will handle it myself. |

I tell her important stuff
but I figure she prolly doesnt want to know every time my hemmorhoids are flaring up |

I use to, i have since learned not to ( when i was in a relationship)

Do you tell your partner every and any thing that is bothering you? I write it down on Post-It notes and stick them all over...kind of like telling them, isn't it? |

For me, honest communication is very important especially with important matters. I feel a sense of connection to my partner when he shares what is on his mind, even if he just needs me to listen to him think something through.

pretty much, but i try to keep it short and sweet, and not loose my composure while doing so, or relive the experience while explaining.
I refrain from whining, or blaming. I try to be constructive.. Well, I try to keep the little bs to a minimum. Are you talking about telling them about the problem you have with them? or life in general. |

If it's something that has to do with the relationship then yes I speak up. If it's something from my past then I don't divulge everything. I've learned that some things that have happened in my past need to stay there.

Do you tell your partner every and any thing that is bothering you? I do, but it never has a good outcome. I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut sometimes.... |

Yep, I agree with Pinklady here. Communication is Key, and a burden shared is easier to carry. Secrets destroy relationships.
