How are you today???

I am here for friendship first and foremost. I have made a few so far, one who I talk to almost daily on the phone. I first came here, frustrated by E-harmony, because it is a free site. Have been very pleased to find the forums and people so great! I don't think this is really such a great dating site, I get MM (which I have come to largely ignore) and emails from guys (of all ages) just because they see my pics. Sometimes I think I should take down all but one pic??

So although I started out finding Mingle as a dating site, I have grown to love it because of the forums and the people who make them so great. Really think of this as a chat site now, not a dating site at all.

As for love, yes I want it back in life, I miss it and everything it entails. My late husband taught me far to much about love for me to choose not to try to have it back. Some people never have what I did, perhaps I am greedy to be wanting it twice. I promised Bob that I would be ok, part of ok for me is to not live my life alone, it is honoring that promise and remembering the love we had that motivate me to keep looking....

Dating at this age is worse than as a teen! What did we know back then??? LOL

I would truly like to find companionship. Someone to do thigs with, be best friends, share feelings and secrets with. I have been on my own for so long now, I'm not sure that it is possible to find the one. But all the same I will keep an eye open. I'm always willing to try again.

I'd like to make a few friends, maybe meet someone that i can get out and do things with--i love my kids but i would really like some adult companionship. And who knows maybe i will meet someone that that wants more than just someone to hang out with--would be nice to find that special someone to share thoughts, dreams, and time with--

Not sure why I'm here...typed the word 'lonely' in a search engine awhile back and have been pleasantly surprized since. Have had such a good time I just keep coming back.

I came here to call all of you, my friends! and i have been told that i could find love here. But, i think it has a great hiding place. Wink. Lol

Well, I guess I came to this site for the same reasons I joined the other sites I've been on; that would be #'s 2&3 on your list. So far , haven't had any better luck but at least this site has this forum to allow me a chance to vent a little. (No I'm not gonna start whining again like I have a few times already) Guess If I can at least find a few friends...well....at least its FREE.
