Topic: how old is too old? | |
---|---|
so ive had my 2 tongue rings for about 5 years now i got the first one the day after i turned 18 and the second one a few days after and i turn 25 this year.
)my front ring has a skull on the top and bottom ball and the back is just a regular colored ball.) also im wondering cuz i want to go into embalming and wondered how bad it will look when im talking to the grieving if they saw my tongue rings my question when does a person become too old to wear tongue rings.the reason i got mine i love the whole piercing/tattoo thing i think its really sexy! just was curious what everyones opinion was b.c im looking into getting a tattoo later down the road. |

When would the loved ones see you? They don't watch you embalm.

Uhm...I think if I were the grieving it might freak me out just a little bit. Then again, if you did a really good job on my loved one, heck, who cares? |

i dont think it matters. if you really love them and dont want to take them out then dont. but if you are concerned you can always do a trial run i guess. see what happens when yo do have them and when you have them out.in our society now piercings and tats are sort of the norm people are used to it by now lol i think by the time im 70 everyone will have tattoos and piercings

Do what you like...You are never too old, unless you are 80 and want to get a tattoo...Then that's sick

When would the loved ones see you? They don't watch you embalm. embalmers are also funeral directors and have to meet with the grieving loved ones. |

Sorry to say it but you will lose some business. Some folks grieving for a loved one are not going to like them no matter how professional you dress. |

Sorry to say it but you will lose some business. Some folks grieving for a loved one are not going to like them no matter how professional you dress. I have to agree, it would not appear as professional as you could. IF you are doing a service for a group of people who are like minded as you, then wear them. It is a very very very difficult time when a person is trying to make decisions about things when a loved one dies... just by asking and being aware of other perceptions, I think that you will do what is the right thing at the time... I would personally get the tat where it would not be obvious or if it would be visible at all times, then make it tasteful and smaller...IMO. As I am sure you know, the business of funerals is a very difficult time for people...they will remember you for a couple of things...the "good" things and the "bad" things... in business, people tend to talk to others about the bad things more often... Good Luck! |
