is staying retired, informing the vikings that the physical and mental grind had become to much for him and cites that as the reason he will stay retired. So now what do the vikings do? Sign Michael Vick?

Thats too bad was hoping he would return for himself. That being said I think the Viking are set with Taverese Jackson, who knows though, they both wear #7 could be a trade maybe

Well, in a couple of days he might change his mind... it has happened before...more than once... IMO, he really should have stayed retired when he retired from the Pack. That was his legacy. He has said and done so many things, that someone who I used to respect for a variety of reasons...well, not so much now. I really do wish he had signed on for the Vikes...I really do, it would have been something to see him in his purple #4 walk into Lambeau Field... THAT would have been something to see... he retired, un-retired, lolly gagged around with his status for years...and that was when he was in Green Bay.... it is almost comical at this point... |

I guess that does make Vick an option but he wouldn't be able to play until week 6 I think. Have heard there was a little interest from the Vikings in Derrick Anderson of the Browns. Not sure if it is true or not. I can't wait until football starts!

I hope Favre will finally stay retired. i do too! i think he only said it for publicity though.his name wasn't being mentioned enough,so he had to say he was coming back out of retirement so the news would talk about him again |

As a Packer fan, I loved him. He was the greatest football player to ever walk IMO and then he had to turn into a whiny old guy.
Yes, I burned my Farve jersey |

I would like to see him as a head coach in ten years. He had some great games but no Steve Young.

I am a Wisconsonite and will remember Favre as a Packer. He has nothing more to prove, only to lose..jmo |

two different type players, both risk takers, but the numbers dont lie steve young in big games was the devil and his final years were his best years, once he hit 30 it was all up hill farve was a magician and had enourmous heart, that mnf game he had the day after his dads funeral I'll never forget, a true legend. I used to not like farve as they always smashed the 49ers but eventually I respected him, and then began to love and admire the way he played the game of football. Steve Young on the other hand could have fluked, could have gave up after tampa, or the ufl, or got discouraged watching history being made with joe cool, but no efficent with his feet and his arm, still remember his last game where aneas willams crushed him after lawerence phillips missed the block on the cb blitz. If not for that single play, steve young to terrell owens may have been a pharse we would have heard for a while, would have been hard for T.O. to complain about steve young really no telling as good as that team was and steve young increased success both rushing and passing at the age of 36 still killing teams with that bootleg and pin point accuracy who knows what 5 more seasons 30+tds 10-15 picks a season and anywhere between 400-600yds a season rushing would have left him. Still highest rated qb 96.8 and most rushing tds by a qb 43, record 6tds w/no ints in only superbowl start not bad no matter what team your on.

People have really short memories. Burn a jersey
I remember him before anybody knew who he was. He played at Sou Miss and beat both Auburn AND Alabama. I salute an awesome career. |
