Topic: Are you a business owner? | |
---|---|
What is your business? Business owners are expected to smile all the
time. Everyone around you- employees, customers, friends, and family look to you to be a leader, but as we know, a good leader has to be a good follower and none of us are perfect. Let it all hang out here. |

Yes, but I'm a sole proprietor...work from home. I don't have to smile
at ALL, if I don't want to, and I don't have to wear a bra, either.. Neener neener neener! |

I'm not a business owner but I have run businesses for other people.
It's by no means an easy job. |

Hey Jean! What is the down-side to what you do? I'd like to hear more
about the bra thing.... lol |

You are right. Raising three kids was easier. I am working today to make
sure everyone is set up when they get in tomorrow. Pretty much 16hrs 7 days a week. Long days. My sanity break has been JSH lately. Thank God for Air Cards and notebook computers. That being said, I had better get back to it. |

well Zap the businesses I ran were very small.......usually a dozen
people or less.....but to tell the truth I felt like I was running a nursery school. |

The downside is sometimes not having enough work and the work involved
in garnering new accounts. The upside is my boobs really appreciate me. |

Yep, business owner, highly technical field of research and development,
third business. I've built and sold twice before. I smile a lot because I like my life. Work is just a part of it. I'd quit just to cook my own food on some days I think. Maybe I should find a mate who likes to cook and likes me enough to cook for me. If any girls are paying attention, I'm good for breakfast in bed once in a while and coffee any day I wake up first. |

Nursery school! lol I call mine the Romper Room, and those of you that
remember that TV show will understand. . Jean, people don't realize how much time and money it takes to simply be able to make payroll each week. Gets kinda hairy sometimes. I am in the service leg of the construction industry and you know the slowdown we are in, so we undercut the competition to a point where if the guys screw up once or twice on a job that job goes red. Philosopher, how many women are going to put up with someone who has to devote so much time to keeping the doors open? It's not as simple as punching a time clock. I would like a relationship down the road but it can't be in the cards right now. |
