What did you want to be when you grew up? Are you living the life you saw yourself living when you were a child?

no, but i do have a great life and i would not trade it for anything, i dont know very many people who ever fullfilled their childhood dream of who they wanted to be

Well I wanted to be a nurse and I am now going to college (at 41) to get my RN degree. I don't have the easy life, wonderful husband, big house etc. etc. that I dreamed of having when I was younger though.

I was supposed to be a famous movie star and singer. Too bad I cant act or sing.....

I was also supposed to have 36 DD's but it never happened!!!
|

I wanted to be a vet when I was little. Then my uncle arranged for me to take a tour of the local college's veterinary school. When I saw the freezer full of dissection specimens, I was DONE with that idea.
Other than that, while my life may not be exactly how I had pictured it, I am very content. I have great people in my life, a job that I love, and very few regrets. |

i have done many things and am hoping to do many more
on the verge of a nationwide adventure which is something i have been wanting to do for as long as i can remember tried it driving truck but that just is not the same |

I have fulfilled all my childhood dreams but two.
I am a mother, I am a published author, and I have a driver's license.
I am not a certified teacher... but I am working on that as I type. When I was a kid I WANTED to teach, but it was akin to winning the lottery for me at the time. College? ME? I'm a MORON!? But I did it... and still am doing it. So I'll call that a win too. Now, where the hell is my last dream... the man who will share all the other dreams with me? |

No, I am not living the life I imagined for myself when I was so much younger... but many twists and turns and disappointments later, I believe I am still on the path I was meant to follow somehow.
One's life really is not a destination but a journey and the experiences along the way have helped me see what I only wished I could have known back then. Learn from the mistakes and cherish the good things that life has offered, and is still offering to me. |
