I love Blazing Saddles! My dad is a real quiet, serious kind of guy. The first time I heard him laugh, he was watching that movie.

True. Still the best thing on television at the moment.

High Anxiety or History of the World Part I

High Anxiety is one of the first movies I can remember seeing. NOT at a theater. I don't think my folks would have taken me to that at age seven. But I remember watching it not long after Cable TV came on the scene. Back in the day when the Movie Channel was standard on cable. Not extra.

Wow, did a bit of research. Cable TV was around earlier than I thought, in general. The town I grew up in didn't get it that early thought.

I have seen both Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein recently after many, many years.
IDK, just not so funny as before.

But I'll watch 'One flew Over the Cukoo's Nest' any day, or 'The Godfather', too.
