“Words of Spite”
So many times I’ve read words upon the screen. Put there only for spite and to be mean. Many times it has left me here to ponder. As I look at the window into the wild blue yonder. As I rack my brains and sit her wondering why. Do they do this as that ultimate high? It seems they get off on these words of slander. Many times I have seen it done to and innocent bystander. For what ever the reasons at times it is totally unknown. And here I thought those my age were grown. I guess we will never really know the reason why. All we can do is help those straighten out each lie. But too many times the damage has been done. And it seems that they actually won. Should we not take the time to think? Don’t let another destroy it all in a blink. Why do some seek out just to destroy? Another, it amazes me does it give them joy? Just to see if in fact they can succeed. So they throw their words out in order to mislead. Yes I must say what I have seen is a shame. That some take the time to ruin someone’s name. One should always take the time with words that you read. To check to see if the one that said them only did it out of greed. K.L.M 7/24/2009 |

Why is it that words have such a powerful impact on us? I think we would be much safer by watching actions- some people are very good at words but their actions don't back up what they say. Great write Kristi.

Great write Kristi. Written words are some of the most powerful things within this world. We can choose to ignore them or embrace them either way they will pave our tomorrows......

It would do us all good to take that extra moment out to consider if we know what's being said on the screen in front of us is true. |

Normally, I'm a very firm believer in "sticks and stones, blah-blah-blah", but when someone speaks words of pure venom with the intent of complete vindictiveness to benefit nobody else except themselves, it pisses me off, too. Time to grow up.

Words of hate, will be that persons fate.
All words said with spite, will never light a night. Only turn to bring them into sight, and to fight.
