I'm tossing it here since I don't really want my profile rated, per say, but I did have a question.
What do you want to see on a profile? I thought I've described my interests fairly well, but I always get asked, so what do you like? So, what am I missing as far as explaining such things? Do you want to see a super-detailed 4 page layout or not?! Curiously... |

I get asked those kinds of things a lot, and my profile is pretty detailed. Hell, half the guys don't even know I have kids, and that's VERY plain RIGHT off the top of my profile. So maybe they're just not reading it?

Yeah.. they DON'T read it. They'd rather us have to go through the torment of laying it out once again... If only they'd do us a favor and read what we take the time to write!

Ya know what I've noticed? 9 out of 10 guys' profiles say maybe one or two lines. I'd like to read a little more than that about a guy, ya know?

I think a few paragraphs is the optimum, most people dont want to read a novel, or dont have the time.
I had a thought the other day about one thing in particular. Some people make the statement 'i am funny', so i carry on reading looking for something funny, and there is nothing. Why bother saying you are funny? Isnt it better to BE funny. Same for 'i am interesting'. BE interesting, dont just say it. In fact, dont even say it, just be it! |

 There are people that don't read EVERY WORD of a profile? I just can't believe that.

Yeah, see... you'd think the pics would tell that, wouldn't ya?
I always figured the WORDS were for other things than looks. Or is looks all some people have? That would be so sad...

I just love the ones that seem like they are applying to the league of men.As in, i like:UFC,FISHING,FOOTBALL,RIDING QUADS.That's great but im not lookin' for a dude.Also,i agree with Dan.

I love the ones that say "no baggage or drama". Uh, if you're breathing you have some type of baggage and drama to some extent, it's how you deal with it, and that you don't let it run your life, or even worse let it affect others around you.
