I think the Goddess doesn't mind me singing it though. It's the thought that counts.

It began as a chant of praise that I wrote for the opening of all my circle rituals. Then I decided to add the guitar, and this is just what happened after that. So now instead of chanting it I sing it at the circle rituals. But it's still sort of 'chantish', although definitely more melodic than the original chant.

My circle castings are becoming music fests anyway.

I find that using music in my rituals tends to raise the energy to a higher level. I've played as many as 5 instruments in one circle ritual; guitar, flute, clarinet, violin, and cello.

Of course I'm not any good at any of them. But only the Goddess is listening, and well, all the other elemental spirits that come to my circles. Sometimes it can get pretty crowded here. Spirits take up more room that you might think. They're always flying around this way and that.
