last week, i was going home via a back alley pushing a shopping cart full of groceries when i noticed something overhead circling me.

it was huge with a wingspan of at least 4'. tho, it did not look like an eagle, it acted rather aggressive, so i stopped walking and watched it watch me as it circled high above with buzzard like wings.

"oh my god" i thought, "it is going to swoop down and carry me off."

so i ditched the buggy, grabbed my groceries and ran for it. the bird for that is what it was, an osprey, flew off to it's messy nest high atop a cell tower, and watched me running and half scared out of my mind.

later, the birdman of mcdonald's described this large bird of prey with gray and white feathers, very sharp beak, with talons strong enough to pick up anything....including an old lady, and laughed.
he said "it thought you were a fish."

yup a fish pushing a shopping cart full of groceries. FISH my butt, and this bird definitely needs to get his eyes fixed.

too funny!

well this is a true story, and these birds, which are fish divers, are magnificent creatures to watch soaring the sky.

however, they have no fear, and anything that looks like food, is fair game.

now i watch my front, my back, and the sky all the time.
