I've met a lot of great people here. People I know I can talk to about things and they won't think I'm crazy or odd or snotty. I've learned a lot about myself from talking things out with people on here. Mirror's always getting me thinking away. I've always written, more than I'd let on, but never ever let anyone read my stuff. I was always terrified about the reaction. Good or bad it made me anxious. But people here have been so wonderful about my stuff that I find myself encouraged more in all aspects of my life. Which is wonderful. I really don't care if I meet the man of my dreams on here. Besides, he changes daily

 This site, by far, is the only site that entertains me. And I'm talking about the members in the forums. There are days where I can give advise. And days where I can act goofy. And days where I need advice myself. I like the diversity...it makes this site great...not same ol' same ol'. Yeah we have our rounds of boredom, but someone is bound to break the ice with a good topic.
Agreed. Even the topics that I find ridiculous sometimes have a post or two that get me thinking.

Justsayhi and later Mingle2 allowed me to entertain people with roleplaying games I use to create.
It allowed me to learn different personalities and views concerning philosophy, science, religion, and politics. It allowed me to illustrate members and reward them with a good laugh. Today it allows me to do zodiac readings for entertainment. About friends - well they come and go. Most of the people I have on my friends list NEVER email me, yet I am not bothered about it. I have a beautiful family who always make sure that I for a change am entertained 
Have fun on Mingle2 and don't have high expectations. If you can do that you will probably have a great time going to this addictive site

That it takes all kinds of people to make this site what it is.
To think quickly. That some discussions are best left alone. How to get back to dating again after a 17 yr marriage. The value of spell check. That people here do care, one time when the site was messed up, someone sent out a 'search party' to contact me. That its not always funny to watch people make the same mistakes I did. |

i've gained an insane amount of knowledge from here about people, because of you people, and that i've got so much more exponentially to learn, and i've met some people that i never would have met otherwise, including a special one
 , and didn't expect that at all.......I did a platonic trip to aruba with friends from here, and had a blast! and met people near me as well for fishing for coho salmon.
i can express things here like nowhere else, and i learned that i can write worth a poop, and people actually read it and like it, but it's in it's infant stages, and i've also learned alot from the OP's writing skills to make me better.... check out her poems, they rock! there is so much about this site that has literally changed my life, that it would take a day to list. thankyou my wonderful mingle friends, and staff.....

Aside from the special friends I have made, this site has made me realize that even though I have an old heart, it is still capable of feeling and inspiration!

That's a very good question. I thought I had made some friends here, and in a couple of cases, I have. Very good friends. But, on the other hand, when I was forced to go away for a month or so ( not because of a suspension..I moved and couldn't get internet service right away ) 90% of the people who I thought were friends... Well...let's just say that no one thought to try to find out if I was even alive. I guess, the best I can say is that this site gives me a place to vent, make smart *** posts, answer a few people's questions ( although even that is dying a slow painful death at this point ) and keep myself from going out of my mind ( what's left of it ) from sheer boredom. Did they have your phone number and new mailing address? You can't really blame them if they only had contact with you online and you didn't have online service for a while. I'm sure they were thrilled when you returned.
No and no. I have given my phone number to two people because we are planning a meet up in September. Other than that, no one has asked for it and I won't give my phone number out if I am not 100% sure the person actually wants it. As far as being " thrilled " to see me back....I highly doubt many even noticed I was gone. * shrugs * |

You are a treasure. I one guilty of not emailing people as often as I should. My reason is that i'd never get offline because of all the mail and I really prefer the group conversational setting of the forums. Thank you again for the readings you've been doing.
