today...alone yet comfortable, clouds parting, I see sky of blue.

is it odd that each day in this life, can be different from the rest

too often consumed with the journeys end...
the here and now I failed to tend.

seeking tomorrow, I lose today...
what wonders, have I let slip away.

did someone special take a second glance...
and I so intent, that I missed the chance.

to taste her lips...to touch her thigh...
to hear her whisper...to feel her sigh...

should I fail to hear what's said...
smack me up the side my head!
