Relaxation and meditation techniques seem to work for me.
Lie in a relaxed position and concentrate on something quiet and repetitive and when your thoughts stray try to return to your concentration as quickly as possible and block out all sounds except for the sound of your breathing. For me I'm usually out withing 10 minutes at the longest. |

I know several Taoist Breathing Meditations. I'm still awake.....
Althought I'm planning to make another attempt at sleep in 7 minutes. |

I can't win for losing. It's 5:18 a.m. here now. I tried sleeping for the past hour. No more luck than any of the other time. Hot showers, herbal tea, relaxational techniques. Nothing works. I'm supposed to be getting up at 7:00 a.m. I'm going to be so useless today.

Go work out now. That is what I did
It is a great start of a day, when you had no sleep at all. |

What gives? If I'm sitting up trying to do anything, I'm to tired to think. The instant I lay down, I'm to wide awake to sleep. This pattern has been going on for three hours now. Anyone with any great tricks for sleeping? Things that won't keep me from being able to get up in 4 hours... I see I'm not the only one that can't sleep tonight.. welcome to the crowd... Hi Billy |

I never realized that being this horribly exhausted actually starts to make a person nauseous.
