I had to take some time off, I had lots of work to do
But I really hope that no one thought that I’d forgotten you
I wish I could have been here, and never missed a page
But legal things just cannot wait; it’s like living in a cage

I hope you poets here all know how much this means to me
These poems are part of history, as far as poets’ eyes can see
Poets came, and poets left, but you, my friends, have stayed
And every nuance and emotion; every gambit you have played

Your poems have let me share a laugh, and some made me cry
And I, now, know countless colours. to describe a summer sky
You’ve written epics that we shared; you took us back in time
The very best best, I must confess.. You made some poems rhyme.

I’d humbly like to let you know, I appreciate your writes
And when I’ve finished my day’s work, you liven up my nights
And so it is with happy heart, that I join you once again
Your poems have give my such joy!..Now! Let the rhymes begin!

Yes let the rhymes begin.
Let the words flow from within.
As we set the stage.
There is no limit to the age.
Just let the words flow.
For all will know.
These words we do write.
Will surely to take flight.
As they soar the skies.
Follow them with your eyes.
Our words will survive.
Upon these pages they will arrive.

Bibby, Bobby, Bobby who,
What to think about this zoo.
I'm not sure about the rest,
You my friend unlike the rest.
Now to read the words you write,
Come to us a searing the light.
Now to hear the words you sing,
More precious than a diamond ring.
Now to touch the words you rhyme,
Keeps it simple and in time.
Now to know the words of peace,
Join us now in sweet release.

We must not ask why.
For you have a gift of rhyme.

They do not betray.

Writers block.

Laughing Beauty

Once upon a time in a faraway nursing home
was a princess with cerebral palsy in a bed.
She could not talk; she was never alone
but could feel, hear, see, and laugh instead.

She was slender, young and very pretty.
All the aides and nurses cared for her.
Her laughter helped those with self-pity.
Her smile was infectious and no bother.

She looked like Goldilocks and innocent.
Truly a treasure she was to know and see.
We all felt she is different and heaven sent.
We were used to just treating the elderly.

Her geri-chair was this horizontal throne.
She brought good will and peace to all.
She communicated with a guttural moan.
She was the fairest of all the whole hall.

She lights the faces of all who saw her.
So fragile and so very small but brave.
Like gold she is such a sweet treasure.
She is such a comfort beyond the grave.

I loved that, Roy..It touched me deeply..

Your heartfelt passions, and profound rhapsodic phrasing
is an art that we appreciate, and think is quite amazing

We know that you’re inspired by feelings deep within
you play your private rapture like a human violin
you sing your score with feelings using nothing but your pen
conveying all your sentiments like the master of the Zen

We love to read the words your write
your pen has shown the sword its might
we christen you “A Loquacious Knight”
to demonstrate our great delight

Keep your juices flowing
turn emotions into prose
typing in the characters that you transform into rose

You’re a gardener of emotions
a shaman of magic potions
you’re the one who writes the sun as it glitters on the oceans

Sharing nightmares in the void
of dragons you’ve destroyed
and conveying all the ecstasy of dreams that you’ve enjoyed.

Your words are more than letters
your prose is more that text
how you do this mystery
just leaves us all perplexed

So thank you for your poetry
and for sharing what you do
and keep in mind that when you write
