calling all guitarists...
can you sweep pick? if you can, i hate you ive been playing for a long time and i have been trying to teach myself this technique... i just cant get it... help me! |

Nah, i have never tried to learn it. I can get some pretty fast lead solos going anyway without it. Soloing aint about speed but a lot of people seem to think thats the key.

The key to sweeping is to synchronize left hand with right hand and imagine you were strumming for the chord but the notes are individual
if you practice about 1 hour each day by about two weeks you will get the hang of it |

paging scottybravo report to my thread immediately. I can do some sweep picking, it takes alot of time.To get a smoother sound try using your neck pickup while you are doing sweeps. |

I tried getting into sweep picking, but I am a bass player, I gave up about 3 minutes into trying it and decided to go back to practicing Victor Wooten's double thump technique.
