I don't lie, well, I don't lie very well anyway...I'm one of those people that lie when I have no other excuses. So few times does the excuse of "I was chased by a Yeti all the way to the border of Canada and had to walk back, that is why I'm late" ever actually work. I would think not

parents lie to their children all the time while they are growing up. at least mine did. . . .

I have found that women seldom want the truth. She asks "do these jeans make me look fat?" Should I really say "OMG! Your a$$ is the size of Dallas!"  good point

IMO Relationships should not include lies. Even if it hurts, in the long run the truth will always lead to the best outcome.

This is funny. Every body lies. Sometimes it is necessary to save someones feelings from being hurt. Sometimes it is just easier. What is important is what is lied about. My 2 cents

I differ with you about everyone lying
& i don't think that you have to lie
 to not hurt someone else's feelings
it is always better to be honest
but one doesn't have to be brutally so
you can be kind & thoughtful & diplomatic
 & still be honest in your expression & choice of words
