It seems like I have waited a million years
Just for this moment in time
To hold you in my arms as the music
Plays a slow tune
Yes I have longed for this second
To dance with you

Holding you close in my arms
The tangle of emotions we feel
Are reflected in the smooth voice
That flows over us as we dance
We don't have to say a word
The music speaks for us

As we hold each other
It seems so simple but
The sultry tune tells of time apart
Waiting for the chance to dance
To once more become one
Within the confines of the dance floor
