in dating site forums ...can you remember what your first rant thread was about?....mine was "why are all the interested women 2,000 miles away" I don't THINK I've ranted yet (at least I don't remember doing so). But your first rant does have some truth to it--lots of great people here, but why are all the "good ones" so far away???  
I'm not THAT far away from you, mscherbear!  
Far enough that a weeknight dinner or movie might be problematic 
There's always the weekend!

i just tried to be there for people, and help out since i wasn't looking, but to make friends. you all felt like giants to me at first, for when you come on to a site, and you see people get ripped apart with sarcasm and irritation from being bored, it makes you think whether you belong here or not, and sometimes it takes one friend to take you in that's been around awhile to make you feel easier, and show you the ropes....I'm that friend to people now. we must remember how intimidating this site can really be to one who's making an effort here....it's a huge jump, and leap of faith, and no matter how mundane they seem, they still had the strength to push on and go forward with their lives, to better their situation, and eventually learn from all of us. it's very important that we teach each other, for there's no manual here for any of this, and each situation, however similar, it's always just a tad different, so the answer may be different, but can fit under a similar solution with twists for tweeking so to speak.
we who are strong and secure here, must help the struggling if we can, and if they have the desire to succeed, for it's our responsibility, and could be our folly if not.....there are from time to time, suicide possiblilties here, and a few of us have run into this, and because we were vigilant, they stopped in time. one had tried twice before, and e-mailed me pics of wounds, and said i was going to finnish it, for he was more isolated this time. everything was crashing down, and this......this site, and the people on it... believe it or not, has saved more than fifteen lives that i know about, and that's a good thing....but what about those we MISSED!!!???? the ones who didn't plead so much and only the sarcastic were watching? hmmm? what then???? it's up to us to behave better, and for it....we will all be better friends, inseparable in some cases! as friends....you may say BUNK! and i say....WHY? some of you get along with people better here than in the outside world.....well........THINK!..........what are you doing here, that's right, that would apply to the outside world to make your life better?...hmmm? use it! use your knowledge for goshs sake to make things smoother when you finally meet! look at them, and remember how beautiful their words were to you, instead of looking at what you might pick apart.....look at your own self......are we really that perfect? NO!!!!!!!!!...................BUT!.......we are all special in our own way........i can find lot's of things to like in all of you! it's now your job to do the same....do you understand? are you getting me???? then this is your life assignment from OWL...... 
and never....never go by an impression. it puts one in a box, or category, and makes it harder for them and US! to learn......no matter who they are. THIS IS LIFE EXPERIENCE ONLY, NOT IN ANY WAY IS THIS ADVICE OF ANY KIND..... thanks. owl~ |

My first rant came later in my first thread where I asked for advice about my friend who let guys foddle her constantly when we went out someplace. People said I was jealous. Feebled minded fools thought I was as weak as they were. What a waste of time time to ask for advice back then lol
