Topic: O Barber! My Barber! | |
---|---|
It is my face, I like it that way
A dresser in one hand, and a sniper in the other, My man, Barber, swears to change it for the better. With the smile befitting a King and the twang of his snipe, he marches ahead. I close my eyes; I won’t take a new face! Can, now, feel tufts of hair rolling down, and more, by the twang; I shut my eyes even tighter; I despise this man. His fingers are now felt everywhere; And the snaps increase by the minute. Why doesn’t he understand? Why won’t he stop? He’s still plucking away and won’t go away. What do I do? I love my face and want it that way! My man won’t stop, and soon I will be bald And I’ll wake up to a face I never knew! New face or nice face, I just want my own old face; I can’t bear this any longer, I flood open my sight My man is finished and smiling; and I – Still can see my own face – younger, smarter and charming! Thanks to my man, my face is now glittering better I told you, I just love this man! |
