Just want to throw something out there... Low carb doesn't do you a whole lot of good if you are using ingredients like butter, cream, or mayo ohwell

Focaccia -Style Flax Bread. It works for toast, sandwiches, and other bready uses. It is "rough" in texture like heavy whole grain breads. Since it isn't made with wheat, it doesn't have the same kind of grain as wheat breads, but the carb in flax is almost all fiber.

Ingredients:
2 cups flax seed meal
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1-2 Tablespoons sweetening power from artificial sweetener
5 beaten eggs
1 cup water
4 tbsp cup oil
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare pan (a 10X15 pan with sides works best)

1) Mix dry ingredients well.
2) Add wet to dry, and combine well.
3) Let batter set for 2 to 3 minutes to thicken up some. Pour batter onto pan.
5) Bake for about 20 minutes, until it springs back when you touch the top and/or is visibly browning even more than flax already is.

Each of 12 servings has less than a gram of effective carbohydrate (.7 grams to be exact) plus 5 grams fiber, 6 grams protein, and 170 calories.

You can make it into rolls, loaves and even pizza dough.

Thanks for the recipe. Have you tried this and is is pretty good? I tried that low carb Atkins mix for bread and it was nasty!

Baking bread is my hobby, I find it relaxing. Got the recipe from a friend she liked it, so I thought I will give it a try. The flavor wasn't nasty just not to great.
