The Arcana of Labyrinth Tarot
I walked the labyrinth path today a journey through the years remembering my childhood through nostalgic joyful tears I saw the way things used to be as well as how they weren't yet how they weren't seemed just as real as what had truly been The dreams I'd had when I was young are as lucid as the truth perhaps my life was lived half-dreamed when I was in my youth I pass the great Magician on the labyrinth garden trail a statue that reminds me of the magic he unveiled Walking past the Priestess my heart fills full of woe for in my youth I couldn't see the wisdom she'd bestow The Empress was my mother my most beloved guide she filled my life with so much joy before the day she died I pass the pond of Pisces where goldfish live their lives totally oblivious to the dreams a human strives Passing by the Hierophant I walk down lover's lane to see the Goddess Venus and the Lovers in her flame The statues look as cold as stone and as lifeless as a rock it's a path within this lovely life that I never got to walk Passing by the chariot I chuckle at my folly as gloomy tears form in my eyes that are anything but jolly Moving on, I pass the Earth and come upon the twins the Gemini that's torn between his grimaces and grins The Hermit greets me near the moon with Cancer's mighty crab I must confess this labyrinth path is anything but drab The Wheel of Fortune spins around as Leo licks his mane reminding me that fortunes are yet to be attained Next I meet with Virgo the virgin of the sky reminding me, integrity is better than a lie Justice holds the scales of truth as she stands beside the maiden absolving all the burdens to which my tortured soul's been laden Passing by the Hanging Fae I cross the valley of the Death pacified by Temperance that fills my every breath I see the scintillation of the shining Star of hope the Moon and Sun arising to reveal my future scope Judgment's passed and all is well heaven is at hand Nightmare's past have gone to hell I finally understand The World looms nigh in front of me surrendering her soul I finally feel I've mastered the Journey of the Fool ![]() Abracadabra 7/6/2009 |

Thank you.
I actually did walk my labyrinth path today which sparked this writing. But the walk was a bit of a cheat. The labyrinth is in limbo betwixt reality and a dream. Today it’s but a grassy field with a few crude flower beds that barely mark the path. I have some sacred statues that will grace the labyrinth way, but as of now, they’re in the house, and safely tucked away. ![]() Sometimes I find it difficult to even speak without a rhyme, the cadence overwhelms me and forces me to chime. ![]() |

I can envision a somewhat rambling, overgrown pathway. I'm sure one day it will be a creative masterpiece to match your ever curious mind.

Oooo, I like this bunches.
That last line is highly amusing to me; probably because I've thought it from time to time and then been shown by life the absurdity of it. ![]() ![]() |
