I think things tend to move in a different way when people are online. I think most are so eager to be in love/lust that the just project that image onto whoever they talk to. Not always of course, as I think you can really find love online. But for a great deal of people anyway.

also...some things get lost in translation over emails. it's hard to hear the way things are said or see expressions

automatically assume you are "in love" or "in lust" with them after a few conversations? The ladies out there are just as bad about that. I couldn't tell you the number of times where they thought we were going steady after just two online conversations. Rather unsettling to say the least.
