Medium deck here, on the back of the townhouse shared with neighbor.
BBQ, couple of tomato plants, flower pots, deck chair, RWB colored lights wrapped around the rails.

i have a gallon of log oil keep in the garage just for my deck ..gives my wood a nice gleem to it,moisture beads right up on the wood no shrubs around it, it really stands out.bigsmile

Sometimes when the deck isn't oiled for a while, the wood gets real hard.

yes it does..but the worst part is your wood splits and then you have to fill the cracks .and you really don't want big cracks..
