maybe they have a telemarketing firm for subscriptions there? but to call enough to become annoying? doesn't seem like good telemarketing...as if there is such a thing to begin with!

Guys, let's keep the actual phone number out of the forums, OK? I ran the number on Google, got a whole list of sites where people are complaining about unsolicited calls from that number. It's a newspaper company, all right. Okay....but it got me results. Thanks guys. I love this place. Kat |

I remember someone telling me a government website, where you can sign up and they should stop calling you - if it's a telemarketing- or you can sue them for breaking some sort of a law.

How do I look up a phone number that keeps calling me? I dont know if it is a bill collector or not...but I want to know. If they would say who they are I would answer it. Can anyone help me find who it is? Kat There are phonebook pages that will tell you who it is if it's a land phone. There are other websites that will tell you if it's a cell phone or a telemarketer/collector but those usually will only tell you the city and state of the cell phone owner or company name for the telemarketer/collector. Any further information is usually around $5. If you pay, the information they provide is very detailed. Type "reverse lookup" in a search engine and take your pick of the sites that offer this service. |
