like you think when picasso monet or van gogh died he was on the top of yahoo.com? Well if they had had yahoo then, I'm sure they would have been.... 
they didnt have yahoo, no but they had "their version" there has always been "buzz" know what i mean? |

So..I woke up today and my lady friend goes.. Billy guess who died! Billy Mays! And I promptly go, "I don't give a ****...why don't you tell me when somebody is born once in a while???" Now she got mad....which makes sense...and I understand that..... but tell ya why I don't care. Did I care who Billy Mays was when he was alive? No, not really. So why would I care when he died? Same goes for Michael Jackson. When he was alive we made fun of him. He was in Men in Black II as an alien and was mocked in Scary Movie 3 --- he was a joke. Why once people die do we care? I don't. I would love to sit around and be like... Hey! did you know that so and so had a baby! Yet.....that never happens...why not?? Lets discuss LIFE not DEATH |

I hear ya Billy, but if we talked about everyone that was alive we'd never have just a few things to talk about.. When someone dies, especially a sudden and/or tragic death, especially when they're famous people talk about it..

thats one way to look at it
but i look at it like "society" is a very depressed entity like we need bad news to stem to good..... why cant we just find good in good any more? or could we ever? and maybe that is my issue |
